2023 Founders’ Day Celebration

In Celebration of Founder's Day: A Dedication to Service

Greetings, esteemed members of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and all who share in our commitment to community and service,

As we gather this year to commemorate the founding of our beloved sorority, we find ourselves inspired by the enduring legacy of sisterhood, empowerment, and service that has defined Sigma Gamma Rho throughout the years. This Founders’ Day, the sorors of the Theta Zeta Sigma chapter proudly embrace our mission to uplift and transform lives through meaningful acts of kindness and selflessness.

In the spirit of our founders and the principles they instilled in us, we have embarked on a remarkable journey of service. With hearts full of compassion and hands ready to make a difference, we are excited to share our plans for this special occasion.

Project Angel Heart: A Day of Dedicated Service

This year, in celebration of Founders’ Day, the Theta Zeta Sigma chapter has partnered with Project Angel Heart—an organization dedicated to delivering nutritious meals to those facing life-threatening illnesses. Our mission is to extend our hands and hearts to those in need, embodying the spirit of compassion and support that our sorority was built upon.

Our service activities have been thoughtfully organized to accommodate the diverse commitments and responsibilities that each of our sorors holds. Recognizing the various capacities and time limits that define our lives, we have designed an experience that allows each soror to engage meaningfully in service at a level that suits her circumstances.

Day One will see our sorors engaging in meal preparation and packaging, as we work together to create nourishing meals that will provide comfort and sustenance to those who need it most. Whether it's an hour or an entire day, every contribution will be a testament to our collective dedication to making a positive impact.

Day Two will witness the delivery of these thoughtfully prepared meals to the recipients. With empathy in our hearts and smiles on our faces, we will ensure that those in our community facing challenging times know that they are not alone—that the sisterhood of Sigma Gamma Rho stands with them, offering both sustenance and support.
